HI 21-cm Tpeak map from Stanimirovic et al. (2001) made using the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) combined Parkes observations compared to the new Tpeak map from the initial map of the SMC from McClure-Griffiths et al. (2018) using commissioning ASKAP data combined the existing Parkes observations. Both images are at the same color scale, but the coverage of the older map is less than the ASKAP field of view and shown with white dashed lines.
